#3 of 4 'M' goals on my East European odyssey: Marathon, Martin Luther + Moravians! This was one of Erica's high points teaching about the power of prayer in missions/revival, so we had to visit Herrnhut in Saxony, right on the Czech border. In the mid 1700s, Count Zinzendorf opened his estate to 100s of Christian refugees from Moravia; a crisis led to a 100-year long 24-7 prayer meeting which in turn birthed missionary teams to some of the hardest parts of the world, sharing the good news of Jesus, leading John Wesley to Christ, effecting changes in every area of society! This village is a 'city on a hill', still shining Christ's light through the centuries. Only wish we'd been able to be there together!
