Back in the 70s, his hat would have whole-y different meaning! A lot has changed since I visited Bethlehem then: the oldest Christian church is being restored, Herod's ruins unearthed, + here's real hope of Israel = a young Muslim+Christian + Jew! The Prince of Peace lived, died + rose for each one of them!

ReplyDeleteI have thoroughly enjoyed reading the various chapters in your Odysseys in a parallel universe! Lots of things there from your travels back 40+ years ago that I wasn’t aware of. Those, along with your more recent photos, are definitely making your present journey one to remember. Continued safe travels, my friend!

Thanks Tim; So good to hear that from you + your taking the time to walk with me through these is encouraging. I wasn't aware of much of the significance of those days back then either, and now 46, 48 years later I can hopefully even more fully connect the dots! + this is not just to relive, but open new horizons: guess what? I just booked a tour (yes, me on a tour, can you believe it?!) for 3 days into Jordan - Petra! So I'm going on the Indiana Jones thing!
