If you dressed in Korean traditional costume, you got in Free! These beautiful Korean flowers thought I was in Canadian costume + I became the centre 'thorn' in midst of many roses; ... but they let me in Free too because I'm now over 70!
I had a stopover in Seoul, Korea on my back from Sri Lanka! got to go to the palace for the Changing of the Guard: 1/2 the city was there = beautiful! Never had this happen before: I woke up to 2 Friday mornings: 1 in Seoul + after next flight, woke up in Seattle + it was still Friday am! I landed before I took off - how wild is that! But now: I'm HOME!
1st Time I've done this: Around the World in 30 Days: Vancouver - Montreal - Istanbul - Lahore, Pakistan - Sri Lanka - Seoul, Korea - Seattle + in a couple hours back to Vancouver to complete the circle! We drove to + hiked up Sigiriya today: a mountain plateau-palace fortress in middle of Sri Lanka jungle; lost track of # of stairs - good thing I didn't keep count; strong wind kept wasps away, but their nests hanging off cliff made for neat face!
In the midst of national crisis, the church in Sri Lanka did not shut its doors this morning,but opened its heart + God poured in His love during our Father's Heart seminar in Kandy. Uncertainty/fear may attack this nation, but the church is confident: Jesus is on the throne + no terrorist will move Him!
From Pakistani brickyards to Sri Lankan beach = quite a contrast in 1 day!... but someone has to do it! Putting my feet up for a few days until Prem arrives from Nepal + we join his friend in Kandy... nice place to rest here... quiet, sunny... until the wind came up + the monsoon blew in!
